TOUR DESCRIPTION:
Day 1: Italy - Urgench / Khiva
Arrival to Urgench by flight and transfer to hotel in Urgench or Khiva.
Day 2: Khiva
Full board. Visit the citadel of Khiva. The compact and charming old town, as intact as ever among the centers of the Silk Road: the complex Ichan Kala, the Fortress "Kunya Ark" with the harem and the old prisons, the Quranic School of Amin Khan, the beautiful Mosque Juma Bazaar, the Stone House, the Madrassah of Kuli Khan, the bazaar and caracanserraglio.
Day 3: Khiva - Toprak Kala - Ayaz Kala - Khiva
Full board. Full day excursion and visit the castles of Toprak Kala and Ayaz Kala, the most beautiful of the ancient Khorezm 50 fortresses, which is spread over three floors and overlooking the vast plains of Amu Darva.
Day 4: Khiva - Bukhara
Full board. After breakfast, departure to Bukhara. The route crosses the Kyzyl Kum desert in the Khorezm region, the road that skirts the edge of the vast bed of the river Amu Darya. Travel time is seven hours, with a stop for picnic lunch at the tea-house "Bukhoro I Sharif", located on the site of an old caravanserai.
Day 5: Bukhara
Full board. Overall, the visit of then-Kalyan Minaret with its intact for 875 years, the covered bazaar with the houses of nercanti, Mosque Magok-I-ers, the complex-diLyabi Khauz, the Madrassah Kukeldash, once the largest Islamic school the country. Visit the Ark Fortress, the ancient center of power, Bolo Hauz Mosque and Mausoleum of Ismail Samani, the oldest building in the city. Stop at the "Source of Job." Dinner with folklore.
Day 6: Bukhara
Full board. Visit the beautiful complex of four minarets (Chor Minor) and the Summer Palace of last Emir. After lunch visit the Complex Bakhauddin Naxshabandi, burial place of one of the founding fathers of Sufi Islam. Dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Bukhara - Shakrisabz - Samarkand
Full board. Departure for Shakrisabz, hometown Talerlano. Visit the White Ak Saray Palace, summer residence of Tamerlane, the Blue Mosque on Friday, the House of Meditation and the Crypt of Timur. Continue to Samarkand.
Day 8: Samarkand
Full board. Visit the Gur Emir Mausoleum, dedicated to Tamerlane and his dynasty, Bibi Khanum Mosque, the colorful and bustling market Siab. Visit the Necropolis of Shaki Zinda, Ulugbek Observatory and with the remains of an immense astrolabe, 30 meters high. Completion of the visits with the Ruins of Afrasiab and the museum.
Day 9: Samarkand - Tashkent
Full board. Visit the Historical Museum of Samarkand and the fascinating complex of Khodja Abdi and the Mausoleum of Ishrat Khana (House of Mirth), the impressive site of the 20 tombstones of women and children Timurid lineage. Departure to Tashkent. Hotel accommodation, dinner and overnight at night until the time of transfer to the airport.
Day 10: Tashkent
Full board. Full day city tour. The old town with Kukeldash Madrassah, Mosque Akhrar Khodja, the Mausoleum of Sheikh Zaynutdun, Tillya Sheikh Mosque, where you find the oldest existing Koran. Visit the Chorsu bazaar, stop at the Theatre of Opera and Ballet, the Amir Temur Square, the Museum of Applied Arts.
Day 11: Tashkent - Italy
Early morning transfer to airport to return to Italy
